My Ancestors
My dear mother is the first of my Baskin ancestors.  I'm in the
process of creating webpages for my mother and her siblings.  I've also created pages for my
		other Baskin ancestors:

What Life was like
          "Back Then"
          Stories, Anecdotes, Diaries, Interviews, etc.

            - Recollections of the "Sand Hills" in the Olden Days - by
Elizabeth Sinkler Manning Richardson, wife of Richard Charles
Richardson, Jr.  Includes information about life in pre- and
post-Civil War South Carolina.  Also includes much
              genealogical information.

Interviews from the Works Projects Administration (WPA) Federal
Writers' Project.  These interviews are located (or taken from) the Library of
              Congress' American
Life Histories website.  The interviews were written for
the Folklore Project.  See the link above for more
information about this interesting source of historical material.

              - Interview
with Mrs. C. G. Richardson   This is an
interview with Mrs. Cameron Gregg Richardson (formerly Miss
Hattie Angelia Brunson; of Beaufort District, SC; 1857-1946).
I have not yet found a connection between "our"
Richardsons and her husband.  I did find a family tree on
the LDS Family Search website which gives the above names and
dates, and shows Cameron's father as James Cameron Richardson
                  (m. Esther Henrietta Tames).  Her interview gives a look
at plantation life shortly after Sherman's arrival in the
                  Beaufort area.
