    • Will of James G. Spann, Jr. (Eleanora's brother) This is a very fascinating will--for many reasons.  It confirms that Eleanora is James' sister.  Also, note the date he wrote the will (only a few months before his death in battle during the Civil War) and care he takes in making sure his slave families are not separated due to the execution of his will.
• My 5th Great Grandparents: Charles Stuart and Mary Ann Russell Spann
  • Charles Stuart Spann (1753-1844) Served in the Revolutionary War.
